Position Description

The Scientific Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, control and integration of specific molecular oncology projects across multiple business units ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining sales and business relationships with current, prior and prospective clients to establish new and repeat clinical research project services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear assignments, common formats for their outputs, disciplined timelines, and coordinated meeting schedules, communication mechanisms and review processes
  • Facilitate integration planning of multiple projects across business units and provide support to project team and task forces
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables through the development and scheduling of full-scale project plans/timelines
  • Act as a liaison between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements.
  • Manage Meeting Minutes, Statements of Work (SOW), and project documentation
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools to include data management
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions and maintain a project management plan and project risk together
  • Implement project changes and Interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Acts as an advocate for assigned clients of OmniSeq and inversely, act as an advocate for OmniSeq to assigned clients
  • Lead project teams in the management and successful delivery of data and assigned projects
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships with Business Development partners for each client
  • Manage the KPI data for key milestones and customer temperature/health; cultivating strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within Accounts
  • Responsible for developing solution-based approaches to project issues and customer relationship management
  • Work with Leadership, BD Management, Service, Systems Engineering and stakeholders to initiate, plan, development organizational structure to support projects
  • Fundamental role in planning and estimation of work required to meet product requirements
  • Adept with technical aspects of the services offered within the organization
  • Liaise internally with technical teams for developing tailor-made cost proposition
  • Maintain sales and operational activity records in the internal project database system
  • Utilize Microsoft Project Planner to create a work breakdown package and associated project schedule
  • Exposure to Innovator, Biotech and Generic Pharma clients in North America

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree/Master degree level in Bioengineering, Biomedical engineering, molecular, oncology or biology and/or a technical discipline is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct work experience in a project capacity including M&A, business integration and plan development, operations, customer service and/or pharmaceutical development
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Experience specifically with Molecular Diagnostic devices
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity with proven success
  • Proven experience in FDA quality System Regulations (QSR) 21 CFR 820; Design Control: ISO 13485 2016
  • Proficient in MS Project, Office, and Outlook
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. as sponsorship is NOT available

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred
  • CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred including knowledge of Phase I-IV clinical research and development
  • Preferably a graduate specializing in Pharmaceuticals / Clinical Research / Life Sciences / MBA / Medicine / Pharmacy
  • Experience handling customer projects preferred
  • Data management skill preferred
